Sacramental Programme

A parish and family-based programme in which all parish children prepare for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Confirmation and First Communion. As is the practice throughout the Diocese of Broken Bay, children receive Confirmation before First Communion. Children from 7 years of age are eligible to prepare for Confirmation.

Coordinators: Sally Harrison and Carmel Shepherd
Contact: The Parish Office

Baptism

Baptism is normally celebrated at 12.45pm after the Sunday Masses. Baptism is not celebrated during Lent. Parents need to attend a Baptism Preparation session (held each 4th Sunday of the month 11.00am-12.00 noon in the School's Library) which can be booked through the Parish Office. This session aims to give a deeper appreciation of the meaning of baptism and to cover some of the practicalities of the actual celebration of your child's baptism.

Baptisms are celebrated on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month.

Confirmation

Please note: Children must have celebrated their Confirmation before their First Reconciliation and their First Holy Communion. Children who are to receive First Holy Communion next year will need to celebrate their Confirmation this year. First Reconciliation is celebrated during Lent, prior to that year's celebration of First Holy Communion. Usual progression is Confirmation (usually around September), followed by Reconciliation (during Lent) and First Holy Communion (June) of the next year.

It is an important requirement that Parent(s) and children attend all sessions of the Sacramental Program.

Reconciliation

Please note: Children must have celebrated their First Reconciliation and Confirmation before they can celebrate First Holy Communion.

It is an important requirement that Parent(s) and children attend all sessions of the Sacramental Program.

Holy Communion

Please note: Children must have celebrated BOTH their First Reconciliation and Confirmation before they can celebrate First Holy Communion.

It is an important requirement that Parent(s) and children attend all sessions of the Sacramental Program.

Marriage

Weddings should be booked at least 6 months in advance to give adequate time for preparation. In order to arrange for a wedding, please call Fr David Taylor.

It is intended that "Preparation of Marriage" includes each couple attending an approved marriage preparation program. Marriage preparation programs are conducted by:
